Overview
PCB Soldering and Stuffing (also known as PCB Assembly) refers to the process of placing and soldering electronic components onto a printed circuit board (PCB). This is a critical step in electronics manufacturing, ensuring that all components are securely mounted and electrically connected to function as a complete circuit.
We offer full-service solutions for PCB stuffing and soldering, from prototyping to mass production, using both manual and automated technologies tailored to your product needs.
Types of PCB Stuffing (Assembly)
Through-Hole Assembly (THA)
Components with leads inserted into drilled holes on the PCB.
Ideal for high-reliability products that may experience mechanical stress.
Often used in aerospace, automotive, and military electronics.
Soldering Method: Wave soldering or manual soldering.
Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
Components are placed directly onto the surface of the PCB.
Enables smaller, faster, and more complex circuit designs.
Suitable for high-volume, automated production.
Soldering Method: Reflow soldering using solder paste and oven heating.
Types of Soldering Services
1. Hand Soldering
Manual soldering by skilled technicians.
Used for prototyping, repair, or complex components that cannot be soldered by machine.
Ideal for low-volume runs or unique boards.
2. Wave Soldering
- Suitable for through-hole components.
- PCBs pass over a wave of molten solder to quickly solder multiple joints at once.
3. Reflow Soldering
Used in SMT assembly.
Solder paste is applied to pads, components are placed, and then the board is passed through a reflow oven to melt and solidify the solder.
4. Selective Soldering
- Precisely solders through-hole components on mixed-technology boards without affecting SMT components.
- Controlled, localized wave soldering.
